A Turf Adhesive Built for Jobsite Conditions

Installing synthetic turf is more technical than it might appear. Because adhesive bonding is a chemical process, moisture, temperature, surface conditions, and substrate all affect performance. Choosing the right adhesive is really about matching the product with the specific installation.

One of the reasons we’re excited to see the new Weld-On Synthetic Turf Hybrid Adhesive come to market is that it addresses some of those jobsite variabilities, making it a good match for a broader range of applications.

Four Things That Make It Different

1. It Works on Damp Surfaces

Most turf adhesives require the surface to be completely dry before installation can begin. Weld-On's new hybrid adhesive is designed to bond on damp or cold surfaces, helping create a reliable bond even when the jobsite isn't perfectly dry.

2. It Fills Gaps and Stays Flexible

Traditional non-hybrid adhesives cure hard. Weld-On's hybrid formula remains fully elastic after curing and features gap-filling properties that help create a flexible, non-shrinking seam. That flexibility matters because seams naturally experience movement over time. Without it, seams can "pop," leading to costly repairs.

3. It Cures Fast

Waiting on adhesive means waiting on the rest of the job. Weld-On's fast-curing formula is designed to help keep projects moving, offering approximately 40 minutes of working time and a full cure in 24 hours.

4. It's Compatible with a Variety of Subfloors

Adhesive failures are often caused by a mismatch between the adhesive and the backing or subfloor. Weld-On Synthetic Turf Hybrid Adhesive is designed for more than just seam tape—it also bonds to concrete, asphalt, pavers, and other hard surfaces. On hard-surface installations, it can even be applied directly to the substrate without seam tape. It also features excellent weather resistance along with a low-odor, solvent-free, low-VOC formula.
