Meet Erin Griffin from our Distribution Sales Team. Whether she’s visiting a distributor, rolling up her sleeves in the warehouse, or finding common ground with a new customer, Erin is steady, positive and keeps things moving forward. Her team knows her as the person who can turn stress into laughter and bring everyone back to working together to get the job done. Read on to discover how Pink Floyd, croaking frogs, and a wood shop are just a few things that make her one of a kind!

What are your hobbies outside of work?
Gardening and woodworking
What is your favorite thing about working at Cimco-GC Systems?
Our company culture. Everybody greets each other with a smile in the mornings and is happy to be at work.
Describe a time that your work (at Cimco-GC Systems) made a difference and what you found satisfying about it.
I remember a time when the warehouse was slammed trying to get orders out before a price increase. The ENTIRE team, including the warehouse, inside sales, outside sales, and executive team came together and got all of the orders shipped out before the deadline.
What is your superpower?
My superpower is cutting through tension when the crew gets stressed. Usually it’s just a funny comment that diffuses a tense moment… but a more memorable example is the time I instigated an office snowball fight (200 crocheted snowballs) during a particularly busy season. I've been told I am a "Culture Creator" in that way.
Do you have any surprise skills that most people in your professional world don't know about?

Describe a time that you saw one of Cimco-GC Systems' values in action? Why was it memorable? What did it mean to you?
Trust and Partnership: On several occasions now, I have walked into a distributor to show a new product and watched them place a PO for the item before I was done presenting it. When I ask why they placed a PO so quickly, the response is that Cimco is a great partner to work with and we wouldn't bring anything in to show them that wouldn't be beneficial to their business. It really made me see and appreciate how much trust our customers have in us, and the importance of continuing to be that kind of partner.
Lightning round:
Do you have any nick names? Yes. My mother has had a very... special... nick name for me since I was very young. But she has been forbidden to use it in public or in front of anybody else! Also forbidden from staff profiles.

Favorite sound? The sound of frogs croaking at dusk
Favorite day-off activity: Getting dirty in either my garden or my woodworking shop
